Welcome to our webite!  Hug-O-Bull bulldogs was founded in 1967 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  We moved to Southern New Jersey (close to Philadelphia and Atlantic City) in 1970 and Norma remains there to this day.  Frank and Norma Hugo had bulldogs in the 1950's  but did not start showing until the late 1960's.  Their daughter, Elizabethtook over handling duties in the middle 1980's and as a family were very successful in the show ring.  Frank died in 2000, but Norma and Elizabeth continued to  breed the same high quality that was typical of Hug-O-Bull Bulldogs.  In 2007 Elizabeth married Jack Milam, a fellow Bulldogger from Oklahoma and Milam's Hug-O-Bull kennel was formed. We have bred and/or owned over 30 AKC Champions. We are BCA Hall of Fame Breeders.  We have a Hall of Fame Stud dog and Brood bitch.    We own a  Beckett Award winning Brood bitch (6 champions produced). Two of our girls have portraits in the BCA National Gallery of Winners for winning Best of Opposite Sex at the National Specialty.   We have had 7 BCA National Awards of Merit awarded to 4 different dogs. Our stud dog, Ch. Hug-O-Bull's Italian Stallion is the sire of the 2003 BCA National Best of Breed Winner. Our Ch. Hug-O-Bull's Marsha Mellow was the #1 Bulldog bitch in Breed points in 1998.   Elizabeth is a bulldog Specialist judge. She has judged bulldogs all over the USA, including BCA National bitches, Canada, Mexico, Holland, France, Brazil and Hungary at the first Bulldog World Congres. She has also judged in England twice, awarding CC's at both shows. Elizabeth also gives seminars on the bulldog standard. Her seminar has been seen at the Bulldog National, many all-breed and bulldog specialty clubs, judges study groups and judges institutes. She has also given the seminar in several other countries. French bulldog judging license is pending.   Jack has bred Champions in the US and in South America. Jack is working towards his judging license and has judged all over the US, Mexico and Brazil.    We are members of the Bulldog Club of America, the Bulldog Club of Philadelphia, the Oklahoma City Bulldog Club and the Wichita Falls Bulldog Club.  We have all held offices in each club.    Currently, Elizabeth is a BCA Division 4 Councilor and is the head of the BCA Health Committee for 2007-2009.   Norma is a lifetime member of the Bulldog Club of Philadelphia and an honorary member of the Wichita Falls Bulldog Club.    Enjoy your visit!    Jack, Elizabeth and Norma.
